So, it has been almost five months since my last post, sorry!! I was busy moving to Nashville, starting a new job there as a hygienist, and figuring out that it wasn't quite what I wanted in life. So, I'm back at it, baking my delicious, made-from-scratch, gourmet cupcakes, and I couldn't be much happier!!
I have been super busy getting as much advertisement out in the surrounding counties as possible; dropping off full-sized "samples" of some of my best-sellers to local businesses, "Hummingbird Swirl, Chocolate Delight, Raspberry-Filled Fluff, and Silky Chocolate", selling numerous gift certificates at the Shelby County Fair to 4-H kids to give to thank their lucky buyers for purchasing their junior fair animals, getting fliers and business cards to any and everywhere that I could think of! I have been pretty lucky and have had great response so far...16 dozen orders to fill by August 21st!!
I have always wanted my own cupcake bakery and have been taking baby steps to get there. Finally met with a builder this week and have a layout in my possession :) Who knows, maybe I will be selling cupcakes out of a brand-spankin' new bakery before the first of the year!
But, in the mean time, my cupcakes are being sold at my all-time favorite restaurant, The K-Village Inn, starting this weekend. I will be there handing out mini-cupcake samples to ALL of the customers and have full-sized ones for sale available to those who just can't try one bite!! As always, I am still selling out of my house, and request at least 48 hours notice to fill your order.
My home office is finally put together and all decked out in cupcake decor, which is a nice, quiet hideaway from the rest of our crazy, busy house.
Wow, I was rambling, a lot, but had a few months of catching up to do!
